Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil until evenly coated.
  4. Add the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to the chickpeas. Toss again to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  5. Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through to ensure even cooking, until the chickpeas are crispy and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet. Serve warm or at room temperature as a crunchy snack. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week!
