Ingredients

  • 24 cherry tomatoes
  • 24 fresh basil leaves
  • 12 small mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 small skewers or toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. If the mozzarella balls are packed in brine, drain them and pat dry.
  3. Thread a cherry tomato onto a skewer, followed by a basil leaf (fold it in half if large), then a mozzarella ball. Finish with another cherry tomato.
  4. Repeat the process for all 12 skewers, arranging them on a serving platter.
  5. Drizzle the skewers with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
  6. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately as a fresh, no-cook appetizer. Enjoy!
