Rinse the fresh berries under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. If using strawberries, hull and slice them into smaller pieces.
If using plain Greek yogurt and you prefer a sweeter parfait, stir 1 tablespoon of honey into the yogurt until well combined. Skip this step if using vanilla yogurt or if you prefer it unsweetened.
In two tall glasses or parfait cups, spoon about 1/4 cup of yogurt into the bottom of each glass to create the first layer.
Add a layer of mixed berries (about 1/4 cup per glass) over the yogurt, followed by a layer of granola (about 2 tablespoons per glass). If using chia seeds or chopped nuts, sprinkle a small amount over the granola.
Repeat the layers: add another 1/4 cup of yogurt, followed by more berries and granola, until the glasses are filled. Finish with a small dollop of yogurt and a few berries on top for a pretty presentation.
Garnish with a drizzle of honey or a sprig of fresh mint if desired. Serve immediately with a spoon and enjoy your berry yogurt parfait!
