Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Add the flour last, mixing until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes,
    then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Your banana bread is ready!
